The Beccles Twinning Association this month (February), as they preparing to help their friends in Petit-Couronne turn their 2021 virtual art gallery [Click to View] into an online photographic exhibition for 2023.
Submission of photos is not restricted to u3a members and everyone is invited to send their digital photographs of the scenery and outdoor spaces around Beccles to: [email protected] by 31st March.

To promote the link between the towns of Petit-Couronne and Beccles, the Beccles Twinning Association will be holding a unique virtual photographic exhibition, displaying images submitted by people of those areas.
The online link to the exhibition is http://www.lesamisdujumelage.fr/EXPOJUM/Page1_ie.htm, which is currently displaying a visual art exhibition from 2021. (Roll your mouse over the individual pictures to see them).
The theme of the exhibition is landscapes and scenery in and around your area, (in our case Beccles) and photographs are required to be in ‘JPEG’ format, together with details of ‘Subject Title’: ‘Name of Photographer’; and ‘Date Taken’. You are allowed to submit a maximum of 4 photos per person.
There will 12 prize winners for inclusion in the virtual gallery which will be exhibited internationally. The winning photographer will receive a prize token, and the runners up will each receive highly commended certificates.
Please submit your entries by email to “[email protected] before the 31st March 2023, photos will not be accepted after that date.
Sometime during April and May it is hoped to be able to organise a “POP UP” in Beccles, where members of the public will be able to vote for their favourite photograph, which will be framed and taken by us on our trip to Petit-Couronne in October.
For information about the exhibition and the trip in October, please email  “[email protected] or call into the Town Hall for contact details.
